Privacy and cookies.
This site does very little with your information, so this is short. If you download the guide I hold your name and your email address, and nothing else. Everything below explains that in the detail the law asks for.
The site is run by Full Clarity Limited, the company behind Termly, which is also the company I co-founded. So when this page says we, that is who it means.

We answer within one calendar month. The Termly app has its own privacy notice covering what happens inside the app, which is a great deal more than happens here.

What we collect, and why
There is one form on this site and one analytics tool. That is the whole list.
The free guide
When you ask for Know Your Why, we collect your name and your email address. Nothing else — there is no address field, no phone number, no question about your children.
The form has two separate tick boxes, and they do different things.
- Sending you the guide. Required, because we cannot email you a PDF without permission to email you. This covers sending the guide and nothing else — it is not a subscription to anything.
- The Termly waitlist and product news. Entirely optional, never ticked for you, and the form works perfectly well if you leave it alone. Tick it and we will also tell you when Termly opens in your area, and occasionally about what has been built. Same company, different purpose — and you can stop either one without stopping the other.
Our lawful basis for both is consent. You chose to give it, and you can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to us.
How the site is used
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and which they leave. It only runs if you accept analytics cookies when you first arrive; decline, and nothing is loaded and nothing is measured. Our lawful basis is consent.
We have turned off Google's advertising features and we do not use this data to build a profile of you or to target you with anything.
Things that look like collection but are not
- The parent survey is hosted on the Termly website, not here. Following that link takes you to Termly, and Termly's own privacy notice covers what happens next.
- Videos on the HomeEd Collective page do not
load until you press play. Until then there is no YouTube code on
the page and no YouTube cookie on your device. When you do press
play we load the video from
youtube-nocookie.com, which is Google's reduced-tracking player, and from that point Google's own terms apply. - We have no accounts, no login and no payments. Nothing on this site asks you to create anything.

A short list, because the site sets almost nothing. Nothing in the analytics group is set unless you accept it.

Marketing cookies
None. There are no advertising pixels on this site, no retargeting, and nothing shared with an ad network.
Changing your mind
You can change your cookie choice at any time from the link in the footer of every page. Declining analytics stops the data being collected from that moment; to remove what has already been collected, write to us.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers, and we do not pass it to anyone for their own marketing.
We do use a small number of companies to run the site, and each of them only receives what it needs to do its job.

Each of these companies publishes its own privacy notice, and we choose services that give us a data processing agreement.
Render, Google and YouTube are based in the United States, so some of this information is processed outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on the protections UK law requires for it: the UK–US data bridge, or contract terms approved for international transfers. Ask us and we will tell you which applies to each.

Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the following rights over your own information. Using any of them costs nothing and we will not ask you why.
- Access. Ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
- Rectification. Have anything inaccurate corrected.
- Erasure. Ask us to delete what we hold.
- Restriction. Ask us to stop using it while something is being sorted out.
- Portability. Receive it in a form you can take elsewhere.
- Objection. Object to processing we do on the basis of legitimate interests.
- Withdrawing consent. Change your mind, at any time, about either of the two tick boxes.
How to use them
Email hello@annakemp.co.uk. We will reply within one calendar month, and usually much sooner.
If we get it wrong
You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator. Their website is ico.org.uk and their helpline is 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right, but you do not have to.
Children
This site is written for parents, and everything on it is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13, and there is nothing here that asks a child for information.
We also do not collect information about your children. The guide form asks for your name and your email address, and that is all — how many children you have, their ages and their needs are yours to keep.
Security
- The whole site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted on its way to us.
- The mailing list is held in Brevo rather than in a spreadsheet, and access to it is limited to the people who need it.
- We keep the amount of data we hold as small as we can, which is the most reliable security measure there is.
If something did go wrong and your data were affected, we would tell you and the ICO promptly, as the law requires.
Changes to this page
When we change this notice we update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will email everyone on the mailing list before it takes effect rather than quietly revising the page.
